GO PACK GO!!! I still can't stop chanting that... and guess what: They WON!! And Mike is just about done the packers room. Meaning ... the room is painted in Packers Green and Yellow. We picked up the white chair rail at Lowe's yesterday and hope to have that up this week. I have to admit the yellow scared me at first, VERY BRIGHT!!!! But with the Green and the white accents -- it looks really good. The final step will be to get the big G on the wall. Next weekend. I also picked out some paint colors to paint the foyer -- a deep rust/orange. So next will be to get the two colors and paint a wall with both and see which wins. New curtains went up in the living room as well as an area rug :) I had the gutters cleaned Saturday and today the furnace guy is coming to check things out. I bought Diesel a new bed ... so he has one up and downstairs. Oh yea, I made lasagna today. Mike, Hannah and I went clothes shopping yesterday (no comments from the peanut gallery) -- Hannah got some great shoes and an out fit from Old Navy. Mike got some pants and t-shirts and I got the usual. Ha... figure that one out. I also went to the dentist today, I really don't like going there. Bleck.
Back to work tomorrow and hopefully I will get rid of the remaining GS cookies.
BTW-- Hannah will be a Green Bay Packer Cheerleader this year for Halloween... and yes I will post pictures

Yeah.. trying
What a day yesterday. I got a call from Mike around 7 at work. The toilet was overflowing and the front of the house was taken over with water. So I called the county and the plumber and rushed home. We I won't go into details, except to say it took all day, 3 plumbers and two visits to by the county. I need to figure out who would be responsible if I have to dig up my yard -- I am not sure if the problem is on my side or their side and then if on my side, I have to see if the home warranty covers it. Too much for one day.
I had two surprise visits from my old neighbors, Jen and Rick. It was good to see both of them. I also met my new neighbor, Cade. He is 84 and gets around rather well. I told him secretly that I really wanted his house, it is one level (no stairs, how glorious!!) and he laughed at me and told me how hard they were to come by.
Hannah is on restriction (she is getting too sassy) -- so she is NOT allowed to play her Nintendo DS this weekend and she is working at a cookie booth at 8 on Saturday Morning.
I just want a nap....

Go Pack Go
For some reason I can not stop saying that!! I am sure that it has a lot to do with the fact we are working really hard on the rec room, or let's just call it what it is _ The Green Bay Packers room. We rented a wallpaper steamer last night to get all the wallpaper off the wall. It's doing a pretty good job. I just don't know why people use wallpaper.... it is just a pain in the ass. I guess we will finish that today. The GBP paint has already been purchased and ready to go on the walls. The cable guy is coming today to drop cable in the room. Mike has been purchasing GBP stuff for a while in hopes of one day having this room.
Yesterday was also spent on getting the GS cookies that Hannah's troop sold. Hannah was the second highest seller in her troop, not bad for her first year and the fact that Mike and I only sold at our jobs :) She sold close to 250 boxes. I spent some time sorting through the cookies and labeling them for the group I sold cookies to.
Besides getting my hair done yesterday and other chores, nothing exciting -- thank goodness.

Hannah's day at the doc
So Hannah has been having a lot of problems with her asthma since school started - 7 attacks at school; three in the last week, two of which sent her home. So we went to her asthma and allergy specialist yesterday to see what was going on. He really believes that she is developing allergies to possible ragweed and some mold, but we are going to hold off on more testing to see how she does with add her Flovent 2x per day and taking her peak flow two times a day. I also spoke to the doc about her flu shot. Hannah had a terrible reaction about three years ago when she got her flu and pneumonia vaccine - -she developed cellulitis in her arm from the shot and then developed a rather bad case of pneumonia. So Mike and I have not gotten it for her since, but I felt it was time for Hannah and the doc agreed. She did pretty good and I promised since she did so well, that I would go get her the new Pokeman Blue Rescue Team game for her DS. After dropping her off at school and going to the pharmacy, I went to EB games. Little did I know that was not a smart move. I had to wait 45 minutes in line because you could reserve the new wii Nintendo system, but since my girl did good-- it was worth it.
I do want to point out to my co-worker Justin that I did not go there to reserve this system, we are a Sony gaming family and are awaiting the PS3.
On a puppy note, the breeder confirmed that Diesel's parents were successful in rekindling the magic again and the pups are due Nov 12. HOT DAMN!!
And finally - -Berry. Here is a picture of his condo. He really prefers to stay in the observation deck. And yes that is tape on the far right, some how the extend - a - condo was not that supportive. Go Figure....

I think we are almost there...

well we all know I am. I really think Diesel is going to get a new friend -- it is really just sad seeing him play in the yard by himself. Zoe just can't hang.. on the rare occasion that she ventures out in the yard, Diesel comes at her full force and he is just as fast. The funny thing is that Mike's boss, Nancy, offered us 1,000 bucks to take her black lab, Winnie. No thanks, I want my own dog to make neurotic. Apparently Winnie is all the way lab crazy. So I sent an email last night to the breeder to see how the love connection went and to see where I go from there -- makes me happy.
Berry has been doing good. Hannah is really obsessed with this little bugger. She picked him up last night after he had his exercise in the playpen and exercise ball. So, he is becoming used to being handled. As Hannah would say, "they are bonding." And she is right.
BTW, Hannah got her interim the other day, she is hitting it out of the park at school, all A's and two B's. Yes, in 3rd grade they start the letter grading. She has been having A LOT of asthma issues lately, so we are off to the specialist on Friday morning to see how we can make this better. It has started when she started school.
Mike and I giggled the other night, I asked him "Can you believe we own a house?" and he said -- "it actually feels like a vacation" and then I said "I will remember that when I pay the first mortgage payment :) "
I had a nice day at work yesterday, it was raining Mac Books and it made those guys very happy. That was so nice to see!!

Mums...
So here are my mums... I keep on getting tons of compliments on the big pot of mums :) And it was a bargain.Busy day, Mike went to Lowe's early to get a dimmer switch(which he already installed) for the kitchen, new washer for one of the bathrooms, last appliance was installed (dishwasher) and now they are out picking up the new addition to the Stanford family: a hamster.
I did some rearranging today in the house and finished putting together a few rooms for now. By no means am I content on how things are, it is just good for now.
I went out with a few folks from work and my best friend Karen the other night, we had a blast!!! Thanks guys for a great evening out, it was much needed!!!
The dogs are doing good. Diesel has got a nasty ear infection, which is common in labs and we already had the cleaner to get it all better quicker. Zoe is chilling right now, as always, right by my side. Time to go back to work (around the house that is) ...

House doggies

So here are the pooches at the new home. After an incident at 5:00 am this morning, Diesel is now on a long lead when he goes out. No free roam for a while. Notice his nifty Packers collar :) Mike took all the boxes (all broken done) to the dump this afternoon for recycling. So I have my sunroom and rec room back. Hannah has put together her hamster condo ( three levels), so it is off to buy a hamster this weekend. Jeez, another animal. The house is coming along, I think I am still in la la land. It's been crazy at work and I am pretty sure it will get crazier.
Next on my list is a party .. planning one should be a piece of cake compared to the move. I am off to water my plants and watch some TV.

Invigorating
or just plain craziness. I am not sure. What a busy couple of days. The new appliances starting coming yesterday and more will come tomorrow. Yesterday we spent the day installing some new items around the house and some old neighbors came by to see the new place. Hannah and DiDi went to the ren fest today and had a ball. Mike spent the day building Hannah a new desk, and by gosh he did a fantastic job!!! It's all done. Of course, he got a new miter(?) saw out of, so that made it all the better. I spent the day doing laundry, getting all the pictures out so I can figure out where to put up some old and a lot of new art work. I have been picking out things for a while. Mike and I (I think) are still running on pure adrenline. We were excited the other day when we found a Ace Hardware store right around the corner, I love small hardware stores like that. We also cut the grass today, front and back. Got a some mums and pumpkins for the front porch. Looks really good.
I am almost forgot, I went for my check up this week -- believe it or not it has been a month since I went back to work. The news was not as good as I hoped and I am not sure where the doc and I will go from here. The kidneys are still not "behaving" the way they should (too much protein) and there are some growths on one of them. So, for now the steriods must continue. We decided to change up when I take them, so now we toss them back in the am. I chose to ignore it this week ( No, Nicole, I won't ignore it forever or let myself get bad again) - and I am pretty optimistic that it will get better. I go back in a few week for more tests. Oh, and I noticed some cyst-like things (under the skin) on the back of my knees, not sure if they are the RA nodules that I have read so much about. Just got to keep an eye on them until I go back.
Mike and I are extremely happy and I know I am forgetting so many things we have done this week, but I am tired and wanna go watch football.
