Ahh.. a nice Saturday for...

the NFL draft (which my husband has been glued to ALL day long), buying flowers, cleaning out the front yard, getting your deck stained and washing the car. It was a busy day for me today -- most of it I spent outside. I did go and look for new carpet for the house and the guy is coming out Monday to do the measurements. It was too nice to be inside. Hannah and Brandon were at the Celtic Festival all day, and they had a ball.

I got some test results yesterday that are not so good. It could mean one of two things: My disease is progressing and now there is definate joint destruction or I most certainly have SLE. I have to wait and see where we go from here in a few weeks. I will not let myself get to consumed by this, but it would explain the problems and the way I have been feeling the last 2 months. Oh well right?

Mike is still watching the draft (we are in our 9th hour of watching it), Hannah is playing her DS and I am sitting here typing. I think tomorrow I should go back to painting ...

Things that made me happy this week

1. Hannah making Honor Roll and getting the effort award at school
2. Brett Favre coming back (now I get to go to Lambeau field!)
3. My amazing husband for taking time off to do all this house work
4. My friend Jennifer for bringing me in homemade lasagna this week for lunch (twice)
5. The move team at work, they were amazing!!
6. My boss for noticing I was struggling today and sending me home
7. Mike being able to go on Hannah's field trip to DC at the last minute
8. My co-workers for always making me laugh at my expense :)
9. The deck washer guy -- IT LOOKS AMAZING
10. Did I mention Brett coming back ;)

I think I will just stick with the positives....

Frosty paws

So I gave big guy a treat and he just loved it!! Frosty Paws are ice cream (not) cups for dogs. He knows where they are in the freezer and he snagged one :)

This week has been rather busy post move at work but I think I can see the light. I am ready to chill and get off my feet. I am looking forward to getting my house back in order. Mike put the second coat on my bathroom tonight so hopefully I can have it back Friday morning...

I took a nap when I got home from work, apparently life is catching up with me and I needed a quick snooze. I kinda wish I did not wake up until tomorrow :)

enjoy the diesel pictures (I know... He is beautiful....)

NOT NICE

so I had an incident this morning that affected my neighbors below. So tonight when I got home I went down to see what the damage was and to apologize. PEOPLE-- she had 5 dots (water stains) on her ceiling and she was NOT NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So whatever--- she can either fix it herself or get her landlord to contact me.. .I am through with her and with neighbors.. JACKASS!!

4.24.2006

I promised

some pictures of the boy and the girl and here they are!! Hannah is doing well. She had an asthma check up today and they are taking her off one of her meds to see how she does :) Diesel is also doing well, hovering still at 60 lbs and behaving ok.

Well I made it through our move at work and all things considered -- I think it went really well. There were a few hiccups, but things happen. Kudos to the team who worked on it. I am really tired and sore (but what's new) -- I haven't started the new meds yet, I figured I would start them this weekend when I had more time at home just in case.

The deck guy came today and started on the fence and WOOOOOOW!! I can't wait till it's done. It's amazing the difference. He is going to finish powerwashing the deck tomorrow and then the staining. Mike is chugging along on all the internal changes as well. He got all the stuff out of the attic and moved it to storage.

I am going to take some meds and go to bed ;)

Changes

What a week!!! Between the move at work and all the work we are doing around the house, time is flying. I went to the doctors today and well some interesting tidbits came out of it. I apparently am not staying true to my needed/required doctor visits and got scolded for it today. So it looks like I am on an 8 week cycle now for the doctors. They have added a new RA med to my routine to help with my feet (they are not doing well at all), got tons more blood work done, was told my skin infection is back and on top of that was having some allergic reaction on my hands. FUN. Mike is off work and doing some work around the house, most important - the painting that I gave up last week and have not touched since :( He has done a fabulous job. Bathroom is just about done :) all the wallpaper is down and all the patch work is done. Not bad for a day. I have somebody coming out to powerwash the deck and fence and then stain it this weekend. I have NO time for that. Mike is getting a moving van on Monday to get all the stuff out of the attic and to storage... one trip instead of 50 would be nice :).

Well tomorrow is the move day at work ... I think it will be fine. I have learned in my past life what can go wrong will go wrong and you can't change it. You can only do you best, and I think we have. Besides being extremely tired, I have developed hives around my eyes this evening, so I have popped my benedryl and pray to god that it does not get worse :)

Lunch this weekend with the trotters and then work on Sunday to set up. I will post some pictures of Hannah (with her new do) and the doggies soon. I can't not get over how big D is getting and how freaking handsome he is ....my little love buddy :)

better

so I decided to stay away from the painting and do something I was rather good at, shopping. I hit like 7 sevens stores in about an hour and had a lot fun buying stuff. I was home by like 12:30. Then Mikey came home and we hit Arundel Mills to do more shopping. We had dinner together and went to the grocery store to get a ham for Sunday. This morning we are going to get Hannah's hair cut and then ... who knows. I am really enjoying my time off and wish I had all next week all because we are moving at work. So maybe after that, I can relax at work as well :) Not sure what the weather is going to be like today, but I really would love to wash my car.

I took a tumble

down the stairs last night and it hurts...and then hannah slid down a tree and cut her stomach pretty good. All ouchies...

paint

So my friend Karen woke me up this morning after I finally fell asleep from ding-dong waking me up early to feed him. I sent him to work with Mike because he would not let me sleep again, he would not stop jumping on my head. So I decided to take Hannah to Home Depot to pick of the rest the paint for the basement and then I attempted to paint. It did not go so well today. I have paint all over myself. I hate painting with a brush and that is what I did today and it SUCKS. Mike is going to be a little mad with his woman today. Oh well, it's the effort right? I then tried the bathroom and it's not that it is bad, I just want it finished. I really am not good with patience. I guess I will wait for my paint buddy to come home and tell me when he is ready to complete. Hannah told me she wanted to be lazy today and she is fullfilling that desire by watching TV and playing Nintendo. Hannah is scheduled for a hair cut saturday morning, which she is looking forward the appointment. I think Deanna is coming over Sunday night to spend the night with Hannah. I think I am destined to paint more this weekend. I will get some fun in there somehow, I always do...

An indulgence

I don't talk about some of my guilty pleasures or indulgences that much, heck I don't want everyone out there to know everything about me. But I admitted to Joseph today one of my secret indulgences and still feel guilty about it. .But hey

I have another one to share.. I am a faithful american idol watcher and I have to say I love Elliot.
so with that I share one of his best performances (yes, it is queen, but he add his own style that makes it soo yummy)

here it
is

my d

So my boy is getting bigger and bigger, right before my eyes. These days his thing is to get into my bed, which is right next to my vanity, and watch me get ready. He gets really (i mean really) excited when I bring out the brushes. He is almost hanging off the side of the bed to get to it. So I indulge him a little, and swipe it over his nose. It makes him happy. I am sure he would rather bite it. As far as training him, he has been rather easy. He has the sit, down and shake command down like a pro. We are still a work in progress on the stay command, but he is getting there. One more he is working on is "Drop." He is doing better on the lead, but definitely needs the harness around his nose for a while longer. I still can't believe his is almost 8 months old. Here are some pictures of when we first got him and then a few weeks ago. Still -- he has the most handsome face. Also the other dogs are his mom(left) and dad. His dad is BEAUTIFUL. Well I am glad I have the next several days off -- Hannah is on spring break. I think I am going to get her haircut again.

4.09.2006

bad

So I have been a little busy latley. Long week at work and then more house stuff. Saturday's rain put a damper on when the work was to begun, so we ran and got all the supplies and Mike also worked for a few hours on Saturday. So today we painted the laundry room, fertilized the back yard, took items over to storage and took down some wall paper. So needless to say I am hurting again :) But I believe things are moving along. My next projects will be the two bathrooms upstairs: one bathroom with be glass bead and the other one gobi desert. Hannah played outside for several hours this afternoon with the neighbors kids and got in on a game of kickball. Mike made a fabulous steak on the grill for dinner.

So tomorrow is Monday and the only thing getting me excited about the week is that I am off a few days because of Hannah's easter break, so hopefully more painting before the weekend.

The dogs are good, I actually think Zoe is losing a few pounds (much needed) and Diesel is hovering at 60 pounds. We have begun to phase out his lunch meal . I think I am going to have to go get a high sitting foot bowl stand, he is struggeling to eat his food (comfortably).

Well I am going to eat a painkiller and watch my Sunday shows!!

How many more days

until the weekend? Not much to say, just plain tired. This up and down weather is just too much and so is my job -- bleck.

Here are some new pictures of the family... makes you just smile :)

A day of play

After a rather busy weekend (the beg. of de-cluttering the house) and work in the yard, we decided to chill with the neighbors. Well Mike and I did, Hannah played a hard game of freeze tag. And this was after she spent the day in Annapolis on the water. I got into the game and almost forgot my age and the fact that I smoke, until my husband reminded me that I should not be running, but not for health reasons :)

Diesel got into the action as well as Zoe. I am sure I will need tomorrow to recoup. Well I am off to watch the Soparanos :) Enjoy the pics...
