Patient Patient

So, I have to be a patient patient. I had a bunch of test done yesterday and now I must wait. I am sure in a few weeks, I will get the letter in the mail again saying something is not right again. It has been my pattern for a while now. So I will just wait.

I also have to be a patient mom. I really wanna go squeeze my new puppy. I really wanna go pick HIM out. It is becoming harder and harder to wait.

Thanks goodness Hannah went back to school -- I need a little normal in my life.

BTW-- Diesel ate a box of of cheeseits this morning. Not good :(

So that was easy

I have read so much about the chaos that ensued when the PS3 went on sale, so I figured that Mike would get his sometime next year. Ha, I was wrong. We went in to BestBuy the other day to buy Ice Age 2 and we heard people asking about the PS3 -- they told Mike to go to the cashier. The only thing we were confused about was the size of the PS3 -- we heard they had a bunch of 20's. So Mike walked up and asked for a PS3 and they asked what size. He said he wanted a 60. A call was made and to our surprise, they bought up a PS3 60. Lord, what dumb luck (for Mike), he was all giddy like a kid. So Mike got his X-mas gift early and I locked down the purchase of a puppy... even trade don't ya think :)

Rewards

so hannah did so well on her report card, this is what she spent her money from pop-pop on:

Ok, she is green because i refuse to open her cage. And she has to be separate from Berry because she is a she (no hamster babies and besides they would kill each other) -- but her name is Gwen (yes after Gwen Stefani -- Mike has some influence over her :)

My house is turning into a Zoo -- two hamsters, two dogs (for now), two frogs and a fish.. gosh why do I do this to myself. I am sure it is because I married a Dr. Doolittle :)

Parent/Teacher conferences tonight, oh boy :)

Nuggets of LOVE

Well, what can I say, here they are and they are so STINKING cute. What a way to start my weekend.
Hannah made honor roll ( 5 A's, 2 B's and is on a 4th grade reading level) -- she also was awarded the "Citizenship" award- meaning she has outstanding work behaviors. How ya like me now.

Hannah Nanner

So Hannah gets her report card tomorrow. Now I know I always talk about this, but this one is the first one where she will get letter grades, so my fingers are crossed that my girl hit honor roll again :)
My aunt called this morning, very sad. Which made me very sad. I just wanted to hug her, but she was too far away.
We had some really strange weather today, so freaky that Hannah's school closed early. But I never got the notification. Thank god for good friends and emergency cards at school.
I can't believe next week is thanksgiving. geez - already?!
My iPod is back and now I just need to go pick it up. I had a great dinner last night with JenLR and JenC -- I needed that.
I think my I will chill this weekend .. no running around. I have a bunch of tests and labwork coming up, just gotta keep my fingers crossed that I am progressing forward and not back again...

Giggle

OK, so I have a little too much time on the morning drive in -- so I wanted to share what made me giggle, smile or go HUH?

1. Jamming to "I'll Tumble 4 Ya" by Culture Club (all the way to work, just kept on hitting the back key on my Sirius tuner).

2. Cleaning my glasses this morning and forgetting to brush my teeth (apparently I would prefer to see instead of having fresh breath)

3. Hannah using this excuse last night for not doing her homework "my teeth hurt (she is getting a spacer) -- but proceeded to eat her fast food. HUH?

4. My husband and my friend saying that even though I am "giving up getting my sky" to get my puppy, that in a year I would have both (you think I get what I want?)

5. My 8 year old jamming her guitar to "Shout at the Devil" on Guitar Hero 2 (she mastered it after playing it like three times).

6. People wearing open toe sandals in November (WHY)

7. Mark's comment on his blog about having google envy ( he thinks I said it -- dude it is right there .....go down three posts!?)

8. This response from customer service ( I sent an email asking for help b/c I did not REC. this purchase) -- and he writes "The delivery confirmation number states that it was delivered.
Label/Receipt Number: 9101 1480 0860 0163 9543 29
Status: Delivered
Your item was delivered at 12:23 PM on November 8, 2006 in WASHINGTON, DC 20004. "
Dude -- why would I email you if I rec'd it?

9. Missing drama at work ( that makes me CHEESE)

10. My insane habit of getting to work before 7 (no comment)

11. Buying "I'll Tumble 4 Ya" when I get to work -- HUH?

12. My job -- it makes me do all the above (Smile, giggle and go "Huh?" on a daily basis")

Well - -they may not seem funny to you but at 5:45 a.m on a long ride it, it made me all smile ...
new puppy pictures soon, and oh yeah, I am going to go brush my teeth ;)

My Nana

passed away this morning. It was SOOOO difficult to hear my mother's heart breaking on the phone and then talking with my aunt. My Nana was such an important part of my life growing up -- she always was there for her grandchildren. Amazing lady -- tough lady. I have experienced death in various chapters of my life... in one year (my senior year) I lost my Pop-Pop, My best friend Chris and my boyfriend. It was the hardest year of my life and the year I became a very different person. I also started believing that god will never give you more then you can handle. You heard me refer to that back when I was dealing with Bay, Onyx and my illness and it is what gets me through - it is my reality check and I so believe in it. But still, my heart aches right now and the tears are still coming. I wish I had some words of wisdom for dealing with it, but every death and how you deal with it, is very different.

My husband is amazing! I called him right away and the first thing he wanted to do was come pick me up (I am rather an emotional person when it comes to family ) -- but I told him no --I would pull myself together and get home. It took me about two hours to get myself together and drive. He made it home shortly after I did, and I was glad not to be by myself. He got me some food and made sure I was feeling ok...

I am very glad that I have good peeps around me at work - because I got the call at work and I lost it and they were there for me. Kate told me to think about good things and maybe focus on the new puppy. So I told her I would call and check. I could not bring myself to call, but did email -- Gracie is due monday and I am still on the top of the list. So a brief smile from a really sad girl....
thanks guys and sorry for rambling

Sad

So I ordered this cool speaker from brookstone and it arrived Friday night. I was so happy I ran to go get my iPod to plug it in. I did and guess what ... sad iPod. I first thought it looked like someone had punched the little guy, but after looking him up I found out it was sad iPod. So Saturday the iPod when back for repair. And then I had to listen to Mike's iShuffle through my AWESOME indoor/outdoor speaker. The music is alright, just not mine. I should (and I emphasize should) have it back in two weeks. This weekend was crazy, Justin and Brandon stayed the WHOLE weekend and then Wes showed up Sunday morning and stayed all day. That just confirms to Mike and I why we don't have more :) We were so exhausted last night that I did not even get to watch the one football game I wanted to watch: Indy vs. NE. Oh well, NE lost (very sad).

I have to giggle at a few games this weekend, still my favorite was the 49ers beating the Vikings. That is just funny. Now the Vikings have sunk to a new low... sucksville.

Then, Miami spanking the BEARS. How freakin hysterical was that?!! Just when you think it is suppose to be easy, ha... the Dolphins beat the (then) undefeated Bears. Andrew - -chew on that crap for a while, and then swoosh it around and then swallow it.. .bitter isn't it? Just goes to show you, don't take things for granted. HA!!

Not much got done around the house this weekend, we raked both yards (the boys did some of the work, and then cut the grass. We decided to get a leaf blower with a mulcher on it, screw raking the leaves! Mike hung some Packer memorabilia up in the packer room. I did not get to paint my foyer like I wanted, but I will. Hannah got her desk done instead :)

I have been feeling rather run down lately and off, I hope it was just a minor flare up and not a taste of what is to come. I have some tests in a few weeks and I am trying to hold off until then before I go back in. NO COMMENTS FROM THE PEANUT GALLERY!! When I pass out -- then you can yell at me but not now.
