I lost time

I came home early Thursday from the fun AARP ALL Staff week and went to bed and pretty much was in there for over 24 hours. I am doing much better today. But that is two days later and now I know I can never get back that time I lost because of AARP all staff week. I should be bitter, but why?

I watched two movies today - The Hitcher (pretty darn entertaining) and The Zodiac (pretty damn long).

I was sooo grateful we got some rain last night, but per usual the weather person messed up and we did not get the rain we were promised (and needed) all day.

Hannah is with Rick and Mike is play Guitar Hero -- the new one from the 80's. Yes, he is a big kid :)

Happy Anniversary

Today is our 9th wedding anniversary. Hard to believe -- time flies. It really doesn't represent the time right. Mike and I have been together for 14 years!!!! Who would have thought? He is truly my best friend!!!

Sick Dogs

It has been a difficult couple of days, it first started with Ripley throwing up and then well it coming out the other end . He is at the vet. Now Diesel is doing the same, he has thrown up over 8 times since last night. I am not sure what is going on and neither does Mike. I made a bunch of broiled chicken and rice last night to ease their tummy woes but it ain't working.

I feel horrible not knowing what is going on. Diesel is sleeping most of the day and looks rather uncomfortable when his is not sleeping.

I have to take Hannah to the the orthodontist and pick up her MSA scores then I must rush home to make sure big man is ok.

Me Tired

This week has been taxing. I finally got dunked in the deep end of the HR swimming pool. Whew, I am treading water right now but very confident that I will be swimming laps shortly. Anyway, again I will say it is an entirely different world and yes I am grateful for the opportunity. The test will be can I stick it out considering what type of person I am. I want to stay the way i am, I love the human aspect and don't want to change that to just look at folks as data. Just not me. I am not complaining just pointing out a fact. I enjoy my morning visits from Nicole, it kinda levels me for the day and let's me be me.

One other reason it might be taxing is that I am trying to cut out on all the dews. I have been cheating too much lately with all the shit with the job and well I need to stop. So that extra boost needs to go. I would love to go to the Doctor next month and go off the steroids. Ahh, the simple things for me.

I am laying down in bed and Diesel is laying next to me trying to kiss me. of course , I gladly give them. And as soon as I do, he acts like he doesn't want them. Even dogs play games. I ask him and he gives in. I know I have said this a million times, but he is an incredibly handsome dog.

Ripley is at my feet looking at himself in the mirror. I think he is trying to see Zoe in the mirror under the bed. Who Knows?

Ok, so I am done running at the mouth. BTW -- check this out... Divided We Fail - Beth did a great job!! WSO did really lose some talented people.

Bad Walmart

Gifts

to myself. This week has been filled gifts to myself. My new laptop came in the mail on Tuesday :) I am getting used to VISTA. I really like it. The screen is nice and bright and so perfect for me. I also spent some time cleaning off my old desktop so I can pass that onto Hannah. Though she used her dad's new laptop and is in love. She has the potential to be worse then me when it comes to new technology.

I also decided after a whole day of thought and advice to get my 80GB iPod. I really like it a lot. It only took me less the five minutes to set it up last night and the screen is nice. YEAH Gina!!

I can wait to load more on the puppy :) Where do I start? ahhhh.. I think Depeche Mode

No huge plans for the weekend except to get my hair done which is always a big job since I am sooo picky and I am NOT happy with my hair.

I know -- I need to do pictures of the Dogs...OH.. Ripley has caught to Diesel in height and weights. BEAST!!!

it has been an odd week. Hannah is back and in rare form. I would rather not go into it, but she defiantly takes after me and there only needs to be one of me in the house and I win. Work is well work and s l o w.

Dogs are doing ok. I am totally addicted to Dog Whisperer -LOVE IT ! VERY MESMERIZING.

I went and had a drink with Joseph and Jake, nice time.

She's coming home today

YEAHHHHH. Mike and I got up early b/c Ripley threw up everywhere!! The good thing (yet again) is that it is coming out both ways. Mike is already asleep again. I just found a dead bird in the yard. Bleck, that has to wait until Mike wakes up to get disposed.

Mike got the ceiling fan installed yesterday and we love it. I love it even more that it was 20% off. Joseph confirmed that he did get the heelys. What fun! Now I hope that Bobby does not hold that against me.

I am adjusting to the new job. Key word adjusting. I have come to accept this week it will take a while. The system they are using is interesting to say the least and I really have to learn it inside out. The other side of the job which involves the web should be fun. Who knows, we will see. Just more time needs to be given to getting me adjusted. Anyhow... it's better then the other option.

Gotta run and go find work to do. OH good news, my new laptop shipped!!! YEAH.

HOT

OK I know it's dc and we should be used to it, but man the heat sucks hard. Since Mike and I are childless yet again, we have not done much. We ran to Lowe (my new home now) and bought a new ceiling fan for the sun room. The old one was from 1980. I have been watching Live Earth all day. Really good. Metallica, Beastie Boys and Foo Fighters were awesome.

After a few emails, one to Joseph about heelys - yes they have adult sizes and I think he got them and one to Nicole to let her know the shoes I ordered for her will arrive on Tuesday - I decided to just chill.

Hannah called several times crying and not doing well. The good news is that she comes home early tomorrow morning. Mike and I can't wait. The dogs will be soooo relieved.

BTW -- Ripley figured out how to open Mike's glass shower door and got a barbie (Hannah's stuff is in there, no Mike does not mess with Barbies) and he ate the legs, arms and most of the hair. He has thrown up a quite a bit and I am glad, at least it's not stuck. Man, having three dogs is very taxing.... I know -- my fault.

So Very Sad...

Hannah left again last night. I think it was worse to have her home for the whole day and a 1/2 and then I had to let her go again. She was very upset and did not want to go either, which broke my heart in two. Lord, I hate this.

The dogs are being extremely bad and I don't even want to talk about it.

Play Dough ANIMALS

Hannah misses her dogs too!! One more day and then she is home for only two days and then she is off to CT with her best friend Alyssa for 4 days. I have to say I am very sad about that but I am sure Hannah will have a blast!!! She is going to have a whirlwind summer....

Mike and I got her a new outfit today and a couple new American Girl puzzle books which she will love for her long ride.
