Meet Otter

This is Otter, Jen's new dog. Otter has the same daddy (slut) as Ripley and Diesel. Otter and Ripley really look a lot alike. What do you think?

Lost favor with the gods....

well the dog gods. I have had a bit of bad luck with the dogs lately. Mostly Ripley. He has reverted back to peeing, pooping and throwing up in my house all the in the last two days. Bleck. I wonder if he is in this mode because Hannah is not here. Who knows?! All I know is that I am not the Dog Whisperer and can't get into the dogs heads and they can't answer me. IT IS DRIVING ME BATTY!!!!!

I guess I can't have it good in all aspects of life.

I would mention some blecky news from my old work world, but who cares!!!

Mike got his new laptop today. Nice!!

Yellow Labs

boy, the dogs miss Hannah a bunch. I called her when I got home and had her on speaker. When she said hello the dogs went crazy!!! It is really hot and humid outside. I let the dogs run around for a few minutes and they are still panting. I gave them tons of ice.

I had a good first day - Brian, Nicole, John and Karen stopped by to see the new digs and David sent me a great first day email. I miss him :( . My new boss called me from Vegas to give me some direction on my projects and I am off and running. Well maybe gimping.

Here are some pictures of the dogs. Everybody asks how my babies are doing. They are not babies by size anymore. Ripley is teetering on 70 pounds and up to 6 cups of dog food a day and he just hit 7 mos. Diesel has to be hitting 80 and only gets 4 cups. Ripley is just HUGE.

All good things must come to an end...

and I mean my vacation. I had a nice time off. Got to do things that I wanted and needed to do. I did not get a lot of time with Mike - he had to work. But I am very glad we finally cleared out our storage unit!!! YEAH GINA. I redid my closets, made a huge clothes donation to the Lupus Foundation. Gathered a nice bag of clothes for a co-worker and finally got my hands on Hannah's room. I cleaned that real good. I did so many things, but mostly got to rest and not stress. That was PURE heaven. And I did a lot of other things but not up to typing it all.

I got to work with Ripley more. He is such a sweet, smart and very strong willed dog who got VERY attached to me while I was home. And most of all, absolutely stunning. Diesel is doing great. We work more on his listening issues and behaving outside. He did pretty damn good.
How funny is that?
On my final day off I did more stuff around the house and ordered myself a pizza. I have talked to Hannah everyday at least once. She is having a blast!!! She got a Gwen Stefani doll today.

Ok, I will have pictures soon of the family - well at least Hannah and the dogs...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH

Well today Hannah turns 9. I still can't believe it. 9 years ago on Father's Day ( great gift I know) -- this beautiful miracle baby was born!! Time does fly and they do grow up fast. She is down with My favorite Aunt in Salisbury having a blast, which I knew she would. I always did when I was with her!! The boys miss her tremendously. Mike and I are lost without her. She will be down there for another week and a half.

We already called her this morning and she is chilling. I am sure she will have some adventure planned for the day!!
Welp, I will continue on with my duties and count the days until she returns....

What a crazy week

Yeah, it was my last week and I have to say I stayed a little bit too long - 2 many people did not make it through the reorg and alas don't have a job beginning July2... but it's officially over for me and I have moved into my new office. Several folks stopped by, but I really think it was to drool over my monitor:) SO goodbye WSO and hello HR!!!!

I am happy to say I also officially started my vacation. I hope to get things done while I am off and to relax.

Last night was a great night. About 14 of us (The Durpenters, Mark's parents, John, Amy, Joseph, Bobby, DeeDee and Hannah) went to a Bowie Baysox game. And considering everything that went on, it was soo worth the $ 9. 00. Besides the game, they were having a hat giveaway, fireworks and the kids got to run around the bases at the end of the night. My hat goes off to Joseph, Bobby, John and Amy for taking such good care of the kids at the Kids place. They did a great job! Then Hannah and DeeDee did and AWESOME job "watching" the twins. They loved it. I had a blast. Well I think everyone did-- we all decided we need to do it again :)
I was really excited to see Bobby. It has been WAY to LONG!!!

So I did not take my camera, so I stole this picture from Mark :) Thanks MARK!!!

Be Still my Heart

Last night I had dinner with my division -- my tech guys as I love to call them and a few other folks that mean a lot to me. They surprised me with a picture of my Onyx. Yes, I did cry and I am trying hard not to cry now because they really did touch my heart with one of the best gifts ever. Not to be outdone by Onyx - yes he was a gift, but pretty damn close. On my way home I decided run by and see Hannah (having a sleepover) and show her. SHE LOVED IT. Now she wants one of Bailey. I still can't get over the generosity of these guys, I am actually speechless.

Enjoy the picture!!! I have already hung it on the wall.
I meant to include the artist's website http://www.janetroup.com/ - check it out. PHENOMENAL work!!

Quite Content

This was my weekend of no kids. Since we got the Wii and other things, it has been non-stop kids every weekend. I laid the rule down Wednesday and Hannah had a hard time early yesterday but fell in the groove. We spent most of the day yesterday outside doing yard work on our house and the neighbors yard. We did run a few errands. We got Mike a new grill for father's day. A new keypad lock for the front door and other odds and ends. I ended up cooking the guys dinner on the new grill. It was fabulous!!! Oh and we took Hannah to the hair dresser and had 5 inches cut off her hair!! It still sits below her shoulders and will grow out nicely. We finished the evening off with wine, gin and fireworks!!

Today was nice, Mike and I got up and early and went for a drive. Then we all went and got breakfast, went to Lowe's, Target, Micheal's and BJ's. We were home by 10:00 to clean out the sheds. Mike and I both had a shed each. I got my done the fastest least amount of stuff. So Hannah and I helped Mike organize and clean his HUGE shed. It took a while, but we were done by 3:00. In between Mike finished the new lock on the front door and the dogs had a blast both days in the yard. And I cooked dinner again, one for Hannah and one for Mike. I also managed to finish all my laundry and get all the linens cleaned in the spare bedroom because Ms. Jen C is coming to stay for a few days this week. Hannah and I are sooo excited.

I have an extremely busy week. It is my last week with WSO and they are making it a full one :) On a high note, I am having a nice dinner( John W is amazing for pulling all this together, I guess I did rub off on him) with all the tech guys on Tuesday ( I can't wait) and Happy Hour with WSO and others on Thursday. And I think I have like a gazillion training sessions, meetings, breakfast, coffee, lunches and others packed in between. Then I am off on vacation, but not before we have a evening out with Nicole, the boys, Joseph, Bobby and John which we are all looking forward too on Saturday.

I noticed something today, since I have accepted the new job I actually think I am doing better health wise. Besides one iffy day in the last couple of weeks, I have felt great!!! I have not been popping pain killers everyday or laying down to rest as much. I am pleased to also report my bone density test came back normal, which is great. I can continue with the steroids and move on to another health chapter.

Hannah's last week of school is this week. Actually her last day is on Wednesday and she is having a sleep over on Tuesday will her three best friends. God Bless Jen for taking that on. Grandpa is watching her Thursday and Friday and then Hannah is off to the beach with Aunt Denise for two weeks. Mike and I are actually looking forward to sometime to catch up, go for long drives and see some movies. But I think we both will be very sad to not have the girl around for that long.

And on the last note, the doggies are doing great. Ripley is big and so lovie. Diesel is BEAUTIFUL and standoffish. And Zoe, she is on Prozac and learning to be less bitchy.

So now that you are all caught up, I am going to drink some more wine and get ready for the last episode every of "The Sopranos" -- what will Dr. Golden do?!

Hannah's All Day Soccer Tournament

Yesterday, Hannah had her all day Soccer Tournament. It started at 8:30 and went to 3. They did fairly well and it was extremely hot. We all got fried, and i had to leave at around 12:30 cause I got it the worst. Bad Girl. Hannah scored a few goals and we were surprised how well they held up. We found a hose and got to hose them off a few times and we had plenty of drinks. Brandon (her man) spent the whole weekend with us. He fell asleep at 5 yesterday and did not wake up this this morning and Hannah followed suit at 7. They were exhausted. They also got their trophies which they all loved. Mike got a trophy and a nice gift from all the kids for being a great coach.
The photo is Brandon, Hannah, Hailey and Alyssa after getting their trophies. It was a lot of fun.
Today not a lot is going on because we are FINALLY getting the rain we soo need. Hananh is playing a new Wii game - "Mario Party 8" and dad got a new game "F.E.A.R" for his Playstation 3.
I had a few good days off -- and the mega dose of steriods did good for me. This is my final two weeks with WSO and then I am off to a different world - HR. Now that is a change...e4
