Soccer Girls

Too freaking cute. Here is a picture of Alyssa and Hannah right after their soccer game. Today was a much harder game but they still managed to tie the game: 7-7. Right after the game was ASA fundraiser at Chik Fila - so both families trucked up there and had a very nice lunch. Then grocery shopping.

Hannah had a fabulous time at her overnighter, but apparently not enough sleep. She fell asleep before her game today and conked out after she got home today and is still sleeping. Poor girl.

Mike and I took the opportunity to get something done that we had been talking about for a while (per usual)- I went and got three new tattoos ( I know 3) - they are kanji symbols for Serenity, Happiness and Tranquility. All of which I strive to have all the time. I have to say the spine is a very sensitive place to get tattoos, but well worth it. They are the largest ones to date. This makes my total 8. Most of which peeps can't see :) Mike did his consult and will go up Monday night.

Ripley had a few milestones this week -- he can finally jump into the SUV by himself and on our bed. On top of that, his adult teeth are coming in BEAUTIFULLY. Zoe had a spa day this week and looks amazing. All this upset Diesel and he spent most of the week throwing up. Stress-- he has no idea how easy he has it.

I had some long days this week and some nice lunches in between. It was good to catch up with a friend and just talk -- and not about work. I had a truly funny lunch with all my co-workers that just had me laughing the rest of the day. I have to do that more often instead of working straight through.

Well off to take my meds and wake up the girl. Happy day.

slacker

So I haven't been good in the posting department. Little crazy this week. I had one long day yesterday, 13 hours in the office. Then I got a call from Mike cause I forgot my 8 o'clock appt. So I would have been there longer. So I made a mad dash for the car and flew all the way to get to my appt. I made it with 3 mins to spare. CRAZY!!!! Hopefully some rest this weekend after Hannah's soccer gave is in order for mom this weekend. Diesel is sitting next to me in the bed (not up yet) -trying to nibble my hands as I type.

Braces today

So today is it -- Hannah get's her braces on. I really think she is nervous. She picked lavender and fushia. Now let's see if that option is available.

Mike and I watch the new HD series "Planet Earth" -- if you did not catch, you have got to watch it. AMAZING.

hannah is a soccer girl

So today was the first soccer game. they rocked!!! It was funny to watch a bunch of little kids running the field and not totally know what to do, but it worked. mike and joe are great coaches (and they are HOT!!!!) it was a god awful day to have their first game, but everyone was a trooper. They won - 7 to 1. and so it begins

Lucky Me

So I had a late birthday celebration with my friends from work last night at Lucky Strike. We had food and drinks and a really nice time. To cap things off, my friend Jen bought me a ice cream cake and had the waitress put candles in it to blow out. What fun!!! Then Jen and I went to shop, and I got a pair of pants and two tops. So I would call that a very nice evening. Thanks to John and Jen for making it special!!!

I then put the top down and drove to my Mom's house to show her the car. She laughed, it was funny to watch her get in it and go "Vroom Vroom."

Today I am off to the doctors (earlier then expected) and then work. Tomorrow is Hannah's first soccer game, which I am not sure she will have with the rain that is coming. They need more practice again.

Thank god it's Friday...

Soon

So in another month or so they should release the schedule for the football season and then we can decide which game we are taking Hannah to go see. The goal is the redskins game so our good friends, Kellie, Steve and Wesley can go with us. Anyway, just to see Brett again is just enough.

It was a crappy ride home, too much traffic to let the girl do her thang. So sad... maybe Thursday she can take off her top and let it all hang out. Tee hee hee.. am I still talking about a car. Sure you betcha!!!

Soccer practice was good. Dad and Hannah had a great time. I had the dogs -- not such a good time. Diesel is acting out, Ripley is playing follow the leader and Zoe is being ABUSED by them both.

Oh I got the new Joss Stone album - -I really don't like it -- it will be a give a way tomorrow. The amy winehouse album is sooo much better. check it out.

Dad's a coach

So the two coaches on Hannah's soccer team quit (several parents complained about them) - so Mike became a coach today. Hannah is excited and I actually think Mike is as well. He played soccer in HS. Also, Mike got picked to be a chaperone at Hannah 's field trip in April to Maryland Science Center. He is very excited!!!!!

I had a good day away. I did some shopping for the outside today. I need to go flower shopping. And the weather should be good on Thursday for the top to go down on the roadster. I have an evil grin on my face :)

I am getting ready to go to bed. Early day tomorrow. The guys are taking me out on thrusday for a belated b-day drink. I am actually looking forward to that.

Sunday

So I have always been a tarheels fan!! Yeah, I know -- bite me terps fans. So I went out and took the sky for a spin yesterday and ended up at the mall (imagine that) - and since I could not buy a lot of stuff (it won't fit in the car), I settled on a tarheels hat and a new pair of shoes. Ahh, the things I will give up to have my car.

Anyway, busy day yesterday. Lots of cooking and other stuff. The Fosters came over for a nice long visit. We need to do that more often! Hannah was sooo excited to be with Brandon.

Dogs are doing good, the little man is not so little. He is 18 weeks tomorrow and hitting about 35+ lbs. He eats like a horse. Here is some pictures of him:

indulgence

I am just sitting here giggling watching American idol. The crap that the voters let thru is totally amazing... in a bad way. I got home late tonight only have to turn right back around to get Hannah. They cancelled her soccer practice because it is so cold. So it was way after 6 and Mike called. He got me some dinner (taco bell) - which was another indulgence for me. I am still feeling under the weather and taking tons of over the counter meds. Because I am not sure of what is going on, I am forced yet again to skip a shot. Hopefully I can take it later this week.

Hard

As I was driving home from taking Hannah to the dentist today, I realize that even though I love the month of March, it is also a very difficult. The reasons I love March : My birthday, my dad's b-day, my mom's, my grandfather and a few neices and a nephew round out the month. But the reason that they are difficult for me are:

18 years ago today I lost by best friend to diabetes.
1 year ago I lost Onyx to cancer.

So, it is kinda hard for me.

Super Weather

These last two days have been so nice. Yesterday was a wee bit warmer, but we will take it. I can't believe DST starts next weekend. Hannah and I finally got the cold that Mike has been battling all week. As long as I stay medicated, I am OK.

Hannah had a great day. She got back her grade on her big presentation yesterday - A+. She got 26 points out of 26. So she got a treat today, besides getting all her soccer stuff, she got heelys for doing such a great job. She has been practicing all day. She had her soccer orientation this morning and her first game is in a few weeks. She is totally excited.

We strung some outside lights today on the deck, that part of the back is not lit and we thought this was a perfect way to add to some light. We also cleaned out some of the sheds since it was so nice.

Right on cue, Ripley began losing his baby teeth. He hits 16 weeks on Monday. Right now, Diesel and Ripley are fighting over the bed (my bed). Diesel wants to sleep and Ripley wants to play.

I have a birthday coming up so I am getting a little excited. I really do love my birthday, I just hate that I get older.

Well I just took a lot of medicine and I am getting tired. Mike is getting ready for his UFC fight that starts too late for me. I will watch it in the morning.
