He/She needs to stop. Everytime I see them like that I swear the other one is dead. But can you see how big the other one (huggee) is in comparison to the hugger? freaks.

So I finally sat down and watched two movies that I have heard a great deal about - "Shaun of the Dead" and "Napoleon Dynamite." OMG - Shaun was hysterial -- i am so ashamed I did not see it sooner. Me and Mikey loved it!!! His best friend in the movie is a stich. I can't say the same for the other, Napoleon was not my thing. But now I can say I saw it.

oohh yea. So I finally got to clean the car. It has been a while -- between the heat and being really busy (work) -- I could not clean the beaut. But alas, the weather broke and I made time. And Hannah helped me scrub the tires. Good excuse now to go get my nails done :) --

another weeks ends

no pictures right now, it is friday morning and I am taking Hannah to the doctors for a follow up. She got up at 7 and then crawled in bed to play with her bay and then promptly feel back to sleep. I gotta get her up soon. I had kinda a crappy day at work yesterday -- too much for me to take in and so I decided to read last night. The book "The Washingtonienne" -- was done in about 5 hours. It was just a mindless read and got my mind off work. I need a nap already.

So the heat

is hear and killing. Not much to do except to chill and pray this storm that is looming outside brings some relief. This heat is really hard on the dogs and as well my plants outside. My first casualty of the year, there ain't no bringing her back again. So my dogs are trying to find the cool zone(or Hannah's dogs as she likes to call them). Can't keep the house cool enough. Hannah had a good day -- she got picked up really early from camp. Dad felt bad for working really late last night and they missed each other so he picked her up at 12:30 -- time to just lounge with dad. He played NCAA 2006 (and he sweats that the freaking computer cheats -- mind you -- he still kills the other team while it "cheats" ) and Hannah played on the computer. I swear she could do my job in a few years. It is getting darker and darker outside .. the storm is close. I better log off and go dance in the rain. Here comes relief...

I gots nothing

I am tapped, tired and hot (well frustrated too) -- but that is all heat related. Hannah is the same way. She ate most of her food (yes, take out Tuesday) in the car and came home and found her blanket on the floor and just crawled under it. Since we are "under" a heat watch now, she could not have water day - bummer :(

I also had to order my girl a medic alert necklace today. I spoke with her specialist today and after what happened on Friday, she now can't take any NSAID's -- motrin, advil or all those other good drugs that fall into that category. So they told me it would be a good idea to get her one for school and such - so check that off the mommy to do list. Man life just got a wee bit more complicated.

Oh and while they are telling me this .. the nurse mentions that celebrex is being pulled shortly. So that is not good for me, my last COX-2 option will be gone. Damn -- now what do I do? Not a lotta options left out there for me in the area... ooohhh maybe I can get some brett farve's now :) ha... I gotta try.

Somebody -- please turn the heat down!!!!

Gosh -- it is hot!! And it only is suppose to get worse. BLECK. We made it back from the beach today -- we left around 10:30 and was home around 1. Not so bad. I wanted to make it back before the temp got really bad. We had a really nice, relaxing time at the beach. Hannah had a blast at the pool and always loves to be around Aunt Denise, Uncle Brad, Kimmy Kim Kim and of course Sammy. Things were going great until yesterday when Mr. Sam busted out of his tent and tore (no I mean shredded) their carpet. It was not good. I really thought Aunt Denise was going to drop kick him... god bless her for showing some severe restraint. I would have kicked his ....but he is just a dog... and so damn cute. Thanks Aunt Denise and Uncle Brad for a good time!!
I thought I would share the tatoos Mike and I got the other night. I will say this, that spot is very tender, but I don't think it will stop me from getting more. Mine is really scabbing up and Mike's looks good. More LOTION please....

Beach

So we had a rough friday night, Hannah was complaining that her throat hurt so we gave her some motrin. Bad choice. Within an hour she was swollen and covered in hives -- so we rushed her upto Nightime Peds. After a complete exam, she got some benedryl for the hives and some antibiotics for her newly discovered ear infection. So the trip to the beach was on. We left this morning (around 8) with Zoe in tow. Traffic was a pain but managable. Hannh did well in the car for about three hours -- thanks to the DVD player, the gameboy and the lingering effects of benedryl. It's hot here and Hannah sweet talked Aunt Denise and Kim into taking her to the pool while Mike and I had lunch. It is so nice to be here and relax. And so nice to be with family. Hannah is rough -housing with the dogs -- so they should be nice and tired... and hopefully she will too!!

So another field trip bites...

I have to say that Hannah is not winning with these field trips. Apparently there was too much chlorine in the pool. It actually looks like either somebeat her up or the crap burned her...

So Hannah wanted a picture with Bailey. Not much going on today. She was very excited she got her first American Girl Magazine. YEAHHHHH. Tomorrow is a field trip to Baltimore Aquarium. She gets to go swimming in shallow water. She is telling me what to type right now.... :) Now she is singing "Hey Baby" -- by her favorite singer Gwen. Thanks goes to Mike, for influencing her at a very young age..

On a parent note -- Mike and I are going to get some more tatoos tomorrow night... and just think we said the last ones we got was going to be our last... not even close...
I am tired today -- my RA is flaring up with some other odd symptoms -- I guess I have to ride it out ..

Hannah says she ROCKS!!

So Mike and I had to giggle... Hannah went downstairs and came back up with my "drink" and says "what do you say - I rock" and yes she does. She had a good day today. Water games, science fun and telling camp counselors about her accident yesterday. She said that her dad was VERY upset and said alot of bad words, but she said she understood because her dad's car was only a year old. Still hot as ever here.. we need a break. I have to tell you (and yes I am biased) she has the MOST beautiful eyes!! She is snuggling with her main man - dad. She actually made me get up --- and Mike does not mind. Today was take out tuesday -- and yet again she got a crappy toy from burger king.

I do!! and so now so does mike and hannah. they got into an accident today and they are OK. thank goodness. shameless bullchit is now what we have to go through. more frustrations seeps into my already frustrated life (work frustration, but still frustration). so the other person (c) has already called my insurance looking for a handout.. .welp needless to say she has fight on her hands. jeez -- anybody got a drink????

Hot, Hot, Hot

So the weather really stinks. We are in a heat advisory through tomorrow night. So that means Hannah cannot frolic outside too much. So what did we do, we decided to go get her school supplies for 2nd grade. Good lord -- I can't believe that we are shopping (and yes, had the list from the school) and yes the stores have the stuff out already. Mike and I split the list and had it done in no time. Hannah had to have some extras :) Just like her mom, gets all excited around supplies. I found so cds to add to my collection -- Stevie Wonder and Frank Sinatra. Makes me smile...
Then we went candle shopping, since I had a coupon. My thought was that we were not going to spend enough to get the 15 dollars off, meaning you had to spend 45. Needless to say with Hannah and Mike there - -we had not problems (two times over). We are home now and Hannah is chilling in her room playing with her pokemon cards and apparently eating yogurt. I also just got done ordering her Disney backpack (Ariel) and her lunch bag (tink) -- she never goes for the matching set.
She and her Dad are excited, we are heading down to Aunt Denise's and Uncle Brad's next week in Ocean City to celebrate our anniversary. I get excited to see the family and shop :) Zoe is going with us and that makes Mike unhappy.

Oh -- Onyx is still having problems from his feast the other night -- serves his old butt right. To the left -he and zoe are keeping cool and snoozing.
And the dog that was having emergency surgery did beautifully. The tooth did end up shattering, but my man cleaned it up nicely. The owner was pleased :)

Oh we watched "Million Dollar Baby" last night, very good movie. I recommend it.

What a day...

Well I am not going to go into my day, I am soo over it. But Hannah -- I am down for the details. She had her field trip today to a water park and got fried! She says it doesn't hurt, but we all know it will. She really had a good time. And I know she will sleep well. Mike had to pick her up, he had an doggie emergency. So Hannah got to chill with Ms. Melissa at dad's work . As soon as I got there, she asked why was I there-- she did not want to leave. So I went into the back to see what happened with the emergency. Here's the deal. Doggie owner was playing ball and hit doggie with ball in tooth. Major canine tooth broke off and exposed pulp and other stuff. Only option (besides a $2,000 root canal) -- Mike needs to take the whole canine out which is very difficult WITHOUT breaking the jaw or shredding the remaining tooth. It has been two hours now and no word. I left them struggling and very tired -- this started at 5 -- after the work day. My dog Onyx had that done and well, not pretty but it works. That dog is going to be HURTIN tomorrow!!!. Other dog news --- My dog - Idiot- oh I mean Onyx decided he was going to have a picnic today and ate 3 of Hannah's doughnuts, a whole jar (yes he got it open) of honey roasted peanuts -- and the crowning glory - raw potatoes. I was SOOO mad at him, I made it worse by feeding him dinner, so needless to say he has some stomach issues going on right about now and he will have a rough night. All I have to say, was it worth it? IDIOT!! Hannah is pretty pissed at him too for eating her doughnuts. Well I got through this without venting about my day -- I did good :)

Creating

So I can't believe it's only Wednesday. The weather stinks -- so humid and hot. Not much to do outside for Hannah so she is creating inside today. She got a kit yesterday while at borders and she is locked in her room making things. Here is a minature lamp she created all by her self! She is tired from the heat today, so she is content just to be inside.

I, on the other hand, am miserable. I can't stand this heat and feeling so blah. The good news for me is that I started back up on my RA shots -- thanks goodness. It makes such a huge difference with my mobility and my fatigue. Now I can walk with a little less pain and hopefully make it through a week with out collasping on the weekend. And for this, today, I am thankful.

Playing a little ball outside with a few friends and Mr. Rick!!! It was a hot day today. Hannah got picked up by her grandparents and had dinner and did a little shopping. Now it is time to cool down...

A good monday!!

Hannah had a good day. She went to see her asthma specialist and she is doing really well. So to celebrate that and the fact that she finally cleaned this weekend -- we took her to target. She got her pokemon cards, a new game for the gameboy and a trip to borders to get a wild berry smoothie!! Then dad took her to the pool for a little while. She is just too beautiful!!!

Ahh.. I thought we had two female frogs

Ok so Mike thought when he bought Hannah her frogs last year (Princess Fiona & Tinkerbell) that he got two females. Whelp, something has been happening all weekend. Tinkerbell has been "hugging" Princess Fiona all weekend. We had to tell Hannah something, so we just said Tink really loves Fiona so she hugs her really tight and for a long time. Well, now Fiona is really, really fat... stay tuned.

TOUGH day at summer camp...

So Hannah had a rough one. Today was field trip day to the roller skating rink and guess what? She has never skated on skates before and she said she did not do well at all. That was confirmed by the massive bruises on her leg -- poor thing. Mike and I tried to make her feel better by telling her we were not so good at it either.. did not help :( And now she says she has blister. I think this weekend will be filled with a lot of TLC and drama from the drama queen...

Cleaning or Playing?

So Hannah has been tasked with cleaning (clearing out) her room. The reason: she wants something :). Dad says she has to make room -- man that is going to take a lot (I mean A LOT) of work from Hannah, who would rather play with Onyx and put earrings on him then clean. Hannah... keep trying honey!!!

Take Out Tuesday...

So Hannah is allowed fast food one day a week -- Tuesday. Usually before I leave in the morning, I already have the order for the evening. For her, it generally depends on that movie or item they are promoting that will get her vote. Today -- BurgerKing -- because they are promoting Fantastic Four, but unfortunatley she still gets the Star Wars toy. Oh well, she got a shake with her meal so she was just as happy :) 

Hannah's July 4th (well the 3rd technically)

So we celebrated the 4th with the Fosters. We had a cook out, played horseshoes and believe it or not- a friendly game of whiffle ball: the Stanfords vs. the Fosters. Hannah showed she was a natural. So I think next year it is T-ball for the girl. After some harping from Mike, I finally "threw" myself into the game -- literally. Why I chose to run and dive for a whiffle ball baffles me? And yes, I got pegged with the ball at least three times and yes it does hurt, whiffle ball or not. Hannah loved it, she pitched most of the game. We were actually just buying time till it got dark so Mike could have his fun and light the fireworks. They loved it but it hurt Hannah's ears. Brandon was running around taking pictures of everything.
Can't wait to see those pictures! Good food, good friends and pretty darn good fireworks for Anne Arundel county. I am actually pretty tired, my legs hurt (can't take my RA shots right now) and still not sure if I can hear all that well. Good night....

Fun at the Grey Rock Mansion

So we went down to Baltimore to attend Mike's cousin Zack's wedding. And I have to say it was a beautiful ceremony. The ceremony took place outside in the garden and the weather totally cooperated (go figure?!). I found myself fighting back tears (why do we do that at weddings?) -- and thinking about my life with Mike and Hannah and how much we have been through. It was truly a touching night. We got to reconnect with Mike's family that we have not seen in years. We did realize that we miss them and will make every effort together and visit more often. The reception cracked me up because they had a Neil Diamond and Frank Sinatra impersonator singing, and you could tell they loved their job!! Again, I will say it was a beautiful wedding filled with a lotta love.... Congrats Zack and Colleen!!
